Bridging the Digital Divide Across Wisconsin
Techquity is a statewide initiative led by United Way of Wisconsin and powered by our network of community partners and local United Ways, dedicated to closing the digital divide in Wisconsin and ensuring that every individual and family has access to the technology, affordable internet, and skills they need to thrive in today’s digital world. We believe digital access should be accessible for all—and we’re here to help make that possible for 30,000+ people across Wisconsin.
Our Mission
To promote digital equity by improving access to technology, digital skills, and affordable connectivity for all Wisconsin residents, with a focus on low-income individuals and those historically left behind.
Our Vision
A Wisconsin where every person, regardless of income or background, can fully participate in the digital world—empowered by technology, connected to opportunity, and equipped with the skills to thrive.
Our Impact
To date, Techquity has connected over 1,900 individuals with laptop access and supportive navigation services through our statewide programming.
This number represents far more than just technology— it is a reflection of lives changed, opportunities unlocked, and barriers removed.
Why Techquity Matters
In today’s world, access to technology isn’t optional—it’s essential. From education and employment to healthcare and daily life, being connected means being empowered. Yet, too many people across Wisconsin face challenges and systemic barriers that prevent them from fully participating in the digital world. Techquity is here to change that by making technology accessible, affordable, and easy to use for everyone.
Whether you’re looking for support, want to volunteer, or are interested in partnering with us, Techquity is a community-driven initiative that thrives on collaboration. Together, we can create a Wisconsin where no one is left behind in the digital age.
